This Ranch/Resort was another reason we signed up to do this caravan,they offered horseback riding!! After setting up the trailer we signed up for the Sunset Ride and were told to meet at the stables around 6:45. 12 persons awaited (9 airstream) excitedly with cameras ready to flash pictures,as it was a perfect evening for the 1 1/2 hour ride.By 7:30 we were still standing around waiting for the retired rodeo cowboy to saddle up 8 more horses(his helper never showed so it took a lot longer) The ride originally would be from 7-8:30 taking in the sunset from canyon plateau-we didn't get underway until 8:35 and the sun had already set,dark by 9:15pm. Down into the canyon on a narrow trail with horses going nose to tail -we traveled in the dark,didn't see much,very scary and dangerous . Back by 10pm,glad to be off the horses.All the pictures taken were before we left. So much for horseback riding experience!!
